Accredited Online Degree Info

What is accreditation? The U.S. Department of Education recognizes various accrediting authorities as being legitimate. The primary and most important source of accreditation is called REGIONAL accreditation. The country is divided into regions, each with its own accrediting body. Accreditation is important because other institutions accept your credits or degree as valid. You need to make sure that the course you choose has regional accreditation since anything less than this can cause you problems with other schools or prospective employers.
